Description (by Rebecca)

**Wide version**

This is a popular basic medical paper tape that is gentler to the skin than plastic and woven tapes. While there are lots of much better options available for night eye protection (shields, goggles, etc. designed for the purpose), there still are many situations where tape is unquestionably the most effective tool - especially for things like persistent, severe recurrent corneal erosions.

These days, I much prefer the silicone tapes. They are kinder to the skin.

But for those with silicone allergy or who need the least expensive option, I still consider paper tape a decent option, in a lesser-of-various-evils kind of way! It does not agree with everyone - some people can't tolerate paper tapes - but this is still much better on the eyelids than very sticky medical tapes like plastic or woven tapes that tug too hard on the delicate skin and leave lots of residue behind. Also, doctors often recommend paper tapes.

Last time I used this tape myself, when I removed it, I had to take it slow and careful, pulling downwards, and though there was a very slight rawness after removing it in the morning, it was very brief. I had no residue that I could feel, but I used my Ocusoft foam lidscrub in the shower anyway, and after that the lid I'd taped felt perfectly normal.

We've added this wider version for a tighter seal all across the lid - as an alternative to multiple pieces of tape per eye which are sometimes necessary.

By the way, if you find a tape you really like and I don't stock it here, please drop me a line! I'd love to test it out and let others know.
