Omega 3 supplements for dry eye have been commonly recommended for people with dry eye ever since (perhaps even before) the famous in 2005 indicated that "a higher dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids is associated with a decreased presence of DES [Dry Eye Syndrome] in women".

Expectations-wise, my position on supplements tends to be "Think of this as potentially offering you some incremental benefit". Dry Eye Shop attracts predominantly highly symptomatic people, many of whom have chronic and sometimes severe or rare diseases or conditions which often require multiple treatments and remedies to keep one's eyes comfortable and well. In people with milder disease and symptoms, using supplements as a standalone treatment may be more realistic than those with more severe disease and symptoms. As with all dry eye treatments and remedies, be guided by your eye care professional about what is best and safe for you.
Suggested Use: take a total of four capsules daily, with meals (two capsules taken orally, twice daily).
